The Call For Help – 911

If you read Psalms 91:1 from the Bible, it says: He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

I can never forget 911, when the Twin Towers in New York Trade Center where hit. All those people crying and saving I love you, communications were cut down. Families were separated. I was just doing my best to make sure that my students and friends copied my homework in an attempt to pass classes and move on up higher with their education. I didn’t feel it right for them to be left behind and kept back from excelling in life in general.

When I saw the impact that 911 had, I couldn’t believe my very eyes, how could someone destroy the country I loved, the country that serves the true living God, Jesus Christ. I felt as though I should have died with those people, they were innocent, They had high hopes of coming to America to seek employment, to seek freedom, to build a life, etc. 911 taught me the great deal of sacrifice, that traveling on a plane is no longer as safe as it used to be. It is vital for pilots to get adequate amount of proper rest, a good healthy meal, many lives are in their hands. I believe they don’t get quite enough credit for the work they do, and the amount of time invested to make sure everyone on board is safe and out of harm’s way.

Even as the plane is about to take flight, some of the necessary precautions are if the plane is sucking people into their turbines, let alone birds during their winter migration for warmer weather also. Other precautions are how to comfort someone who is not used to flying long hours, let alone from creating seats large enough to house expectant mothers to be. Parachuting and oxygen mask training should be administered as well as life rafts in case the plane lands in the water.

Other recommendations for a good flight could be that they don’t serve alcohol, but if need be perhaps to carry Bibles as well as bread and grape juice for communion for those that are not regulars at church when service hours don’t match up to their busy schedule.

Since the Event of 911, the Gas Prices have gone significantly up.

911 has really helped me a lot especially when there a robbery case in my neighbourhood it took them less time to respond I still remembered the day there was a fire outbreak and the fire service line were not going through we had to call 911 and they responded in a jiffy. I must say 911 is the best emergency service I have seen.

      Dear ismeglamour,

Thanks for your comment on my blog post.

I understand here in America that you pull to the right to let the ambulance through, but in India my home country, they do not have access to such a thing, let alone respond fast to a major situation emergency at home to save a life. So, I applaud USA for that facility, the fast response to save a life if the need arise.

Thank you so much for sharing with us a wonderful and informative article. The main theme of this article is The Call For Help – 911. It is truly incredible that you have illustrated this topic so well in your article. I have learned a lot by reading your article and gained a lot of knowledge about it. Of the points mentioned in your article, I like the Event of 911. When the Twin Towers are destroyed, the economic catastrophe falls not only on America but on the whole world, causing more damage to third world countries like ours.

Finally, I would like to say that such unforeseen incidents should not happen and in case of any emergency, we want to cooperate by calling 911.

      Dear Md. Asraful Islam,

Thank you so much for your Feedback, I really appreciate it.

I remember I was exactly 11 years old when 911 happened, i was in 5th Grade, I saw the Event on TV live, at first I thought it was a movie, but then it registered in my mind when so many people started screaming and running, I knew something major just happened to our country, we were attacked on our own soil, all our money for the economy of America to stay strong was suddenly gone in an instant like that at the World Trade Twin Towers. All that smoke and debris, I can never imagine such a hatred 1 single bad person who shouldn’t have been born like Osama Bin Laden can wreck havoc on mass people in a simple act like hijacking planes and hitting where all our hard earned money to keep USA alive for generations to come was suddenly snatched away from us. This caused war, and war takes away many innocent lives, it is a sinister way to bring any country and its people to their knees, to not seek God, but rebel in such a way that sin is tolerated. I won’t stand for something like to happen ever again in the near future for the land of the free and home of the brave!

I also believe pilots don’t get enough credit for the work they do. And yes, there is always that feeling in my chest when I get on a plane now. It’s impossible for me not to remember 911. I don’t travel much (probably once a year), and that may be the reason I always remember Twin Towers when I get on a plane. But I also think others share my feelings too.

      Dear Abel,

Thank you so much for your Feedback, I really appreciate it. I try not to envision 911 happening ever again each time I board any place to travel. Its such a sad event that I wish was just a dream and that it never happened. That it could have been prevented and forgotten about. But, I keep waking up each day with tears in my eyes over it, all those people innocent without a care in the world as they were happily going about their job and some devil of man called Bin Laden snatched them away by killing them and igniting war between America and Iraq. Justice should have been served to put him away for good from hurting other people like that.

Please pray for America to never face the likes of such a event ever again, it has fought through more than enough wars as it safeguards the rights of its citizens.

The truth is that the whole event of 911 hit everyone differently and honestly this differently can only be on a negative way. I really do feel you when you said that you have always thought to help people. Everyone was innocent and everyone wanted to help. I wonder how a person will think that they should go on to try to kill hundreds of people who are innocent.

      Dear Jay,

Thanks for your Comment, I am most grateful for it concerning this event where one can never take the freedom we have in America for granted because our country became enslaved into yet another war. I pray and hope that such an event like this does not happen again the future where it would become like a world war because that will cease to drain the economy of everyone involved alive.

I pray and hope for an end to all wars and people can learn to be happy with what God has already given them, why crave for more than you can chew is the phrase I grew up with. Does taking a live of a person not hold you feeling guilty and ashamed? I would not be able to live  with myself if anyone is in harm’s way, whether intentional or not in such a event as 911.

911 had a huge impact on everyone. I remember being in school when it occurred. Teachers had a terrifying look on their faces, kids were confused as to what was happening and parents where showing up earlier to pick their kids from school because of the huge impact that tragic event had on them. Sadly, to this day we’re still seeing a huge amount of hate crimes committed towards other human beings; some of them doing so in the name of God. How can people possibly believe that something as horrifying as this is what God wanted them to do? I don’t understand religion and I will never do – being a Christian for 18 years and a non-religious believer for 6 – I can’t understand how people are capable of doing such things.

      Dear Stephanie,

Thanks so much for your Feedback, I really appreciate it. I too was also in school when 911 happened. I almost felt like I was on that plane 1 way or another and felt my body incinerated from the plane hitting the Twin Towers, my body turning into ashes from the burns of the blast.

Sad but true I don’t ever like seeing any violence or hate crimes imposed on innocent individuals who can’t speak for themselves.

Glad to hear that you are a Christian Stephanie. My big question was always, could 911 been prevented, if so, how, and why didn’t we do it sooner so that future generations don’t suffer the aftermath of this event ever happening again in their lifetime.
